The All-on-4 implants system uses just a few implants to secure a whole set of teeth. Better still, in many cases, we can fit the implants and a set of new teeth on the same day.
All-on-4 implants are angled in the jaw in such a way that makes the most of the jawbone present, saving you money on individual implants for each tooth, and streamlining the whole treatment process.
This is an informal, no-obligation chat about your options, and we welcome any questions you have. No question is too small when you are considering tooth replacement treatment. We value spending time with our patients to make sure they are not rushed and come to a considered decision about how to proceed.
A CBCT scan, X-rays and a full examination of your mouth are carried out. This information helps us to establish your suitability and to plan your treatment. Your dentist will use your CBCT scan to establish the location of the bone-rich areas within your jaw. The implants will be placed at these sites, ensuring maximum success rates following treatment.
The implants are placed under local anaesthesia. We will give you a comprehensive breakdown of what to expect on your surgery day and how to prepare. IV sedation can be arranged if desired.
The healing time after implant surgery is generally between 3 and 6 months. It is normal to expect some swelling and bruising after the surgery, and this usually subsides within a few days.
Once your jaw has healed and the implants have integrated, you are ready to try your long-term teeth. Your dentist will check the fit of your new bridge and the way your teeth bite together. You are now ready to eat whatever you like again!
Our implant dentist (and joint practice owner), Dr Andrew Norman, is a very experienced implant provider who has undergone comprehensive training at the PID academy since 2015.
He is very passionate about dental surgery and keeping up to date with the latest techniques and research in the field of implants (you might say he’s a bit of an obsessive when it comes to implants and restorative oral surgery!)
In short, he loves dentistry that makes a difference to patients’ lives, and implant dentistry couldn’t fit this definition more suitably.
Our workflow is fully digital, which means a much more comfortable patient journey with no messy impressions, and accuracy is at the heart of everything we do. Nothing is left to chance, and the systems we use are state-of-the-art.
Implants can be a permanent solution for replacing diseased tooth roots if they’re cared for well. The good news is that they don’t require any special maintenance other than routine dental visits.
Restorations (bridges and dentures) for implants typically last in the region of 15-20+ years. Our dentures and bridges for implants are made using robust materials that are clinically proven to withstand the forces exerted in your mouth, whilst restoring the aesthetic of your smile.
All-on-4 implants are a good fit for patients who:
